FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU's senior Milana Trimino recently sat down with GoFrogs.com to discuss the upcoming season and much more.
Trimino, a Ladera Ranch, Calif., native, wrapped up her junior season going 3-1 at the 2009-10 Varsity Equestrian National Championships. She helped the Hunt Seat team finish sixth overall, which is the highest place in school history. Overall, Trimino closed the season with one MVP honor and nine victories in Equitation on the Flat.
What have you been doing this summer?
This summer I have been in Florida for a student discipleship and ministry program.
How do you think the 2009-10 Equestrian season went?
The 2009-10 season made history for the Hunt Seat team. We fought and struggled all year long, but when we qualified for nationals, we really stepped up as a team and had the highest finish we have ever had.
How do you feel this season will go?
I know this season will be even better than last year. Our success from this past season is so encouraging and we should be able to continue to build on it. Also, it will be bittersweet to see the five seniors on the Hunt Seat team graduate.
What do you like most about Equestrian?
The amazing girls on this team are my favorite part.
If you could choose another sport what would you play?
I would choose volleyball since I am tall.
What is your favorite thing about TCU?
My favorite thing about TCU is wearing purple around everywhere.
If you were stranded on an island what two things would you need?
I would need my cell phone and my Bible.
What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is Across The Universe.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
I have never gone to Europe and would love to go there.
What is your favorite singer or song to listen to right now?
My favorite singer is either between Hillsong and the Dave Mathews Band.
