FORT WORTH - TCU women's tennis head coach Dave Borelli announced Wednesday the hiring of Jason Marshall as assistant coach.
Marshall makes the transition to the women's side after spending two years as an assistant under Borelli with the men's program.
Borelli spent four years at the helm of the men's program at TCU before switching back to the women's team on July 21, 2010. Marshall accompanied Borelli each of the last two seasons.
In two years with the Frog men, Marshall helped lead TCU to consecutive NCAA tournament appearances, two Mountain West Conference tournament titles and an MWC regular-season crown.
Marshall has prior coaching experience at Wright State and with the Tahitian Olympic team.
As a player at Purdue, Marshall was a three-time All-Big Ten selection and a Big Ten singles champion on two occasions. His professional career saw him climb as high as No. 101 in the doubles rankings during seven years on the ATP Tour.
The Dallas native received his bachelor's degree in business from Purdue in 2001.
