
TCU Equestrian Adds Courtney Motz

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU equestrian coach Gary Reynolds announced the addition of Courtney Motz to the equestrian program on Wednesday.
"We are very excited about signing Courtney. She will add a lot of show experience and knowledge to our team. She is a great rider and will be a great asset for us," said assistant coach Kindel Huffman.
Motz, a Cincinnati, Ohio native comes to TCU having recently qualified for the 2010 National Junior Hunter Finals. The 2009 Ohio Junior Hunter Champion, is a two-time Kentucky Equitation Reserve Champion and a three-time Ohio Medal finalist. Motz, who collected the 2007 Ohio Pre-Green Hunter Reserve Championship, has earned multiple championship accolades and reserve championship honors in Ohio, including the 2008 Green Hunter Championship and 2008 Ohio Medal Finals Championship. Motz has also excelled in the state of Kentucky, capturing the 2009 Kentucky Junior Hunter Reserve Championship and 2008 Kentucky Green Hunter Championship.
Away from the show ring, Motz, who recently participated in the 2010 Zone 5 Emerging Athletes Program, will graduate from Saint Ursula Academy in Cincinnati before attending TCU next fall.
