
No. 67 Frogs Shine in Latest National Rankings

FORT WORTH, Texas - The No. 67 TCU women's tennis team has two singles players and a doubles team listed in the latest Campbell's/ITA Women's National rankings. The listing names the best 125 singles players and 80 doubles teams in the country.
Senior Nina Munch-Soegaard is the top-ranked singles player for the Horned Frogs, coming in as the No. 54 player in the country. The Amarillo, Texas native has played from the top position all season, earning six ranked wins in the regular season. Munch-Soegaard cruised to a 6-2 record against the Mountain West Conference and is currently ranked sixth all-time in career singles wins in TCU history.
Sophomore Kayla Duncan follows in the singles rankings for TCU, settling in at No. 123. The Winston-Salem, N.C., native recorded a 10-12 record this spring, including a 4-4 clip against the MWC. She picked up ranked wins over players from Illinois and Texas.
In doubles action, the team of Duncan and junior Katariina Tuohimaa moved up eleven spots to move into the No. 39 slot in the rankings. The pairing was 11-5 this spring, boasting an impressive 4-1 record against ranked opponents. Most recently, the duo took down the No. 30 squad from BYU last weekend and ended the conference schedule with a 6-2 ledger.
TCU (7-16, 4-4 MWC) will now begin preparations to defend their MWC tournament title at the 2010 MWC Championships in Las Vegas, Nev., April 28-May 1.
