
Volleyball Heads To Utah For A Pair Of Matches

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU volleyball team will head to Utah this weekend for a pair of conference matches against BYU and Utah. Thursday's contest at BYU will air live nationally on BYU-TV and is slated to begin at 8 p.m. (CST). The Horned Frogs will then head to Utah for a Saturday afternoon affair that begins at 2 p.m. (CST).
TCU NOTABLES
* Irene Hester and Christy Hudson joined an elite club on Thursday night as both tallied their 1,000th kill in the match.
* They became the eighth and ninth players in school history to reach the milestone.
* Jordan Raines, Meghan Horio and Christy Hudson each tallied double-doubles against Wyoming.
* Jordan Raines became the fourth hitter to cross the 200-kill threshold and she now stands at 203.
* Irene Hester continues to pace the league in kills, aces and points.
* The Frogs rank 24th nationally in home attendance with an average of 1,317 fans per match.
* Sloane Sunstrum had a solid weekend serving, leading the team with three aces against nationally-ranked Colorado State.
BYU NOTABLES
* BYU enters the week on a two-match winning streak after defeating UNLV and Air Force on the road.
* Overall, the Cougars are 8-3 in their last 11 matches and own a 6-6 mark in league play.
* Christie Carpenter and Stephanie Snow lead the Cougar attack, averaging 2.64 and 2.57 kills per set, respectively.
