Frogs Slide to Fourth Place at Isleworth Collegiate Invitational

WINDERMERE, Fla. - The TCU men's golf posted a second round score of 299 on Monday afternoon en route to falling from first place to fourth overall at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational in Windermere, Fla.
After 36 holes of action, the Frogs notched a score of 589 (290-299) and are five strokes back of the tournament leader Alabama. Following the second round of action, the Crimson Tide have the top spot at 583 while LSU (587), Stanford (587), TCU (589) and Florida (595) round out the top five.
Daniel Jennevret and Tom Hoge - who both entered the round tied for second overall - fell to 12th overall following a second round score of 4-over-par 76. After 36 holes of action, the TCU teammates have posted identical scores of 146 (70-76).
Johan de Beer moved up 30 spots from 50th to 20th after 36 holes of action as the TCU junior notched a 2-under-par score of 70 in the second round. The native of Pretoria, South Africa, has recorded a score of 148 (78-70) after 36 holes of competition.
Pontus Gad finished the afternoon tied for 29th overall following a second round score of 77 and a 36-hole tally of 150 (73-77). Eli Cole posted his second straight score of 77 en route to finishing the afternoon tied for 46th overall with a score of 154 (77-77).
The third and final round of the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational will be held Tuesday morning at the Isleworth Country Club.
