Frogs Finish 10th Overall after First Round of Action

LA QUINTA, Calif. - The TCU men's golf team concluded its first round of action tied for 10th overall with a team score of 300 on Sunday afternoon at The Prestige at PGA WEST in La Quinta, Calif.
After the first round of action, California held the team lead with a score of 286 while Arizona State (290), San Diego (294), Stanford (294) and Washington (294) rounded out the top-five.
Pontus Gad was the Frogs' top performer as the TCU sophomore notched a 1-over-par score of 73 en route to finishing tied for 16th overall. Daniel Jennevret - who won The Prestige at PGA WEST a season ago - notched a first-round score of 74 and finished tied for 24th overall.
Eli Cole finished the afternoon tied for 38th overall with a score of 76 while Tom Hoge notched an 18-hole score of 77 en route to finishing tied for 48th overall.
Johan de Beer - who captured 2008 title at The Prestige at PGA WEST - concluded his first round of action tied for 63rd overall following a score of 79. Scott Roudebush - who is competing as an individual - notched a score of 81 en route to tying for 71st overall.
The second round of The Prestige at PGA WEST will begin Monday morning at TPC Stadium Course in La Quinta, Calif.
