Team Notes
*Entering the game, TCU is 54-1 under head coach Gary Patterson when allowing 17 points or less.
*TCU trailed at halftime (10-7) for the first time this season.
*Approximately 1,000 people gathered inside TCU's Daniel-Meyer Coliseum to watch the ESPN 360 broadcast on the video board.
*TCU started the same 11 players on defense for the third consecutive game.
*TCU earned its first win at Clemson in its second opportunity. The Frogs lost 3-0 in their only other trip to Death Valley, on Oct. 23, 1965. Overall, TCU evened its all-time series record with the Tigers at 2-2.
*TCU played turnover-free football Saturday, the first game this season the Frogs went without a turnover. For the season, the Frogs have only three turnovers through three games.
*TCU improved to 13-3 against opponents from BCS conferences since 2002.
*TCU won its 27th straight contest when attempting 34 passes or fewer. The Frogs threw 26 passes Saturday.
Individual Notes
*With 226 yards, Andy Dalton became TCU's second all-time leading passer with 5,326. He moved past Steve Stamp (5,123, 1978-81) with a 58-yard first-quarter completion to Ed Wesley. It was also the Horned Frogs' longest play from scrimmage this season. Max Knake is TCU's career leader in passing yards with 7,370 (1992-95).
*Dalton rushed for 86 yards Saturday, the second-best single-game total of his career. He set his career high of 91 yards versus Stanford last year.
*Curtis Clay's 6-yard touchdown reception from Dalton represented his first collegiate score.
*With 13 and eight stops, respectively, linebacker Daryl Washington and weak safety Alex Ibiloye both posted career highs in tackles for the second straight game. Ibiloye accomplished the feat with six first-quarter stops. Washington and Ibiloye had nine and four tackles, respectively, last week versus Texas State.
*Washington's 13 stops are a team season high.
*Antoine Hicks' 25-yard fourth-quarter touchdown reception was his first career scoring catch. He reached the end zone for the first time last week on a 4-yard touchdown run against Texas State.
*Wide receiver Jonathan Jones made his first career start.
*Wide receiver Jeremy Kerley set career bests with five receptions and 63 yards receiving.
