The TCU men's golf team was unable to complete its second round of action at the NCAA National Championships due to a four-and-a-half hour rain delay on Wednesday at the Inverness Country Club in Toledo, Ohio.
Only 15 teams were able to complete their rounds with Oklahoma State continuing to lead the 30-team field with an even-par score of 568 after 36 holes of action. The Cowboys hold a five-stroke lead over Georgia (573), Michigan (574), Texas A&M (574) and Arizona State (580), who all rounded out the top five.
The Horned Frogs - who were able to get through 13 holes on Wednesday - were 1-over-par before the round was called due to darkness. The Frogs are currently sitting tied for 11th overall with a 16-over-par and two strokes back of earning a spot in the top-eight, which will advance the Purple and White to Match Play.
Tom Hoge (Fargo, N.D. | Fargo South H.S.) is the Frogs' top performer as the TCU sophomore is 1-under-par while James Sacheck (The Woodlands, Texas | Zionsville H.S.) is tied for 44th overall with a score of 4-over-par.
Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal H.S.) is tied for 61st overall with a score of 6-over-par while Johan de Beer (Pretoria, South Africa | Pretoria Boys' H.S.) recorded a score of 7-over-par. Scott Roudebush (Austin, Texas | Austin H.S.) is tied for 142nd place with a score of 14-over-par.
