
Frogs Tied for 15th Overall at NCAA National Championships

The TCU men's golf team concluded its first day of action tied for 15th overall at the NCAA National Championships at the Inverness Country Club in Toledo, Ohio, on Tuesday.
The Horned Frogs are tied with Illinois for 15th place after both programs notched a 15-over-par score of 299. With two rounds of action left to play at the NCAA National Championships, the Frogs find themselves five strokes back of a spot in the top-five after 18 holes of action. Oklahoma State and Georgia are tied for the team lead with a score of 288 while UT Chattanooga (292), Washington (293) and San Diego (293) round out the top-five.
Tom Hoge (Fargo, N.D. | Fargo South H.S.) notched a 1-under-par score of 70 in the first round of action and finds himself tied for fourth place at the NCAA National Championships. The TCU sophomore is one stroke back of the championship lead, which is held by Jonathan Bowers of Northwestern, Scott Langley of Illinois and Matt Hill of North Carolina State.
James Sacheck (The Woodlands, Texas | Zionsville H.S.) recorded a first round score of 4-over-par 75 en route to tying for 56th overall while Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal H.S.) and Johan de Beer (Pretoria, South Africa | Pretoria Boys' H.S.) are both tied for 93rd overall following a 6-over-par score of 77.
Scott Roudebush (Austin, Texas | Austin H.S.) posted an 11-over-par score of 82 en route to finishing 153rd overall in his first-ever NCAA National Championships.
The Frogs will return to the links on Wednesday for the second round of action at the NCAA National Championships at the Inverness Country Club.
