Horned Frogs Advance to NCAA National Championships

The TCU men's golf program earned its 13th-ever berth to the NCAA National Championships as the Horned Frogs finished tied for fourth overall at the NCAA Central Regional Championships at the Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater, Okla.
The Frogs recorded a 305 in the final round of action en route to securing a 54-hole score of 905 (299-310-305) and tied with Northwestern for a berth at the NCAA National Championships. Oklahoma State captured the team championship with a three-round score of 881 while Arkansas (903) and UT Chattanooga (907) also advanced to the NCAA National Championships.
Tom Hoge (Fargo, N.D. | Fargo South H.S.) was the Frogs' top performer as the TCU sophomore recorded a fifth-place showing after posting a three-round score of 222 (73-73-76) at the NCAA Central Regional Championships.
James Sacheck (The Woodlands, Texas | Zionsville H.S.) earned a 30th-place showing as the TCU senior recorded a three-round score of 231 (73-78-80) while Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal H.S.) finished tied for 34th overall with a score of 232 (77-82-73), including a team-best 73 on the final day of action.
Johan de Beer (Pretoria, South Africa | Pretoria Boys' H.S.) finished 46th overall with a score of 236 (76-77-83) while Alexander Knappe (Brilon, Germany | Berufs H.S.) rebounded nicely after a rough second round to finished 63rd overall with a score of 242 (79-87-76), including a 76 on the final 18 holes of competition.
The Frogs will advance to their first NCAA National Championship since the 2004 campaign when TCU travels to Toledo, Ohio, on May 27th at the Inverness Country Club.
