Paul Gerrish Tabbed MWC Pitcher of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU junior right-hander Paul Gerrish has been tabbed as the Mountain West Conference Pitcher of the Week. The honor is the first for Gerrish and the second time a Frog has been honored this season.
Gerrish, from Filer, Idaho, pitched a career-high 7.2 innings to collect the win in No. 22 TCU's 4-2 victory over 18th-ranked New Mexico last Saturday. He struck out four batters and walked one, while allowing just six hits and two earned runs. New Mexico, the nation's top-rated offense, came into the contest hitting .405 and averaging 11.6 runs per game, but hit just .240 (6-for-25) and scored two runs against Gerrish.
Matt Curry was honored as the Hitter of the Week on February 23.
