*At 8-0, TCU is off to its best start since 2003 when it won its opening 10 games. The Horned Frogs have started 8-0 for only the second time since their 1938 national championship season and the sixth time in their history (2003, 1938, 1935, 1929, 1920).

*For the second straight week, Dalton and Antoine Hicks connected on a 75-yard touchdown pass for TCU's longest play from scrimmage this season. Hicks has seven touchdowns (four receiving, three rushing) on 17 touches this season.
*All four of Hicks' touchdown receptions this season have been at least 25 yards.
*Ed Wesley's 59-yard second-quarter touchdown run was TCU's longest rush from scrimmage this season. It was also Wesley's longest career play. He had a 58-yard reception at Clemson. Wesley also had a 21-yard scoring reception against UNLV. The Preseason Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year has four touchdowns in the last three games. He had 39- and 28-yard scoring receptions the previous two contests.
*Wesley's team-high 86 yards rushing was a career best. It tied for the second-highest total by a Horned Frog this season. Andy Dalton had 86 yards at Clemson, while Joseph Turner ran for 129 yards against Texas State.
*With Dalton's 75-yard touchdown pass to Hicks, two of TCU's three-longest plays from scrimmage this season occurred today.
*Dalton picked up his 25th win as TCU's starting quarterback. He ranks second on TCU's all-time list, trailing only Sam Baugh (29, 1934-36).
*Ross Evans' 29- and 42-yard first-half field goals made him 9-of-10 on the season and 25-of-30 in his career.
*Tejay Johnson recorded his second interception of the season and third of his career. With two picks, Johnson is tied with Daryl Washington for the team lead.
*True freshman linebacker Tanner Brock topped TCU with a season-high six tackles.

*Billy Pizor scored his first career touchdown on his first collegiate catch, a 10-yard fourth-quarter reception from quarterback Marcus Jackson.
*True freshman D.J. Yendrey started in place of Cory Grant (injury) at defensive tackle. It was the first career start for Yendrey, who becomes only the second true freshman in TCU coach Gary Patterson's nine-year tenure to make a start. As a true freshman in 2007, nose tackle Kelly Griffin started all 13 games.
*Senior Ryan Christian made his first start of the season at wide receiver.
