
Horned Frogs fall to Fresno State

Waco, Texas - The Horned Frog equestrian squad was defeated by Fresno State on Friday in first round play at the Baylor Tournament.
TCU lost to the Lady Bulldogs by a raw score of 705-701.5, but won both events in the western division.
Courtney Chown and Chloe Baker both won their points in horsemanship as Chown was the high scorer with a 72.5. Baker defeated Rebecca Flood of Fresno State to earn her second win on the season.
Carrie von Uhlit and sophomore Jennifer Neel are both undefeated on the season after going 2-0 in reining in the first two matches. Von Uhlit handed Fresno State's Keri Blackledge a loss after defeating her 72.5-68.5.
In the hunt seat division, Tassie Munroe and Taylor Frederick each won their points in equitation over fences. Frederick's is now 2-0 on the season after scoring a 74 in today's match.
On the flat, TCU lost 3-0 as Kim Hewson-Budnik of Fresno State led all scorers with an 84. Jessica Hagen had the highest score for TCU with a 77.
"We have really been looking forward to playing in the Baylor Tournament this weekend. All three schools have great programs and it will be a good test to see where we are in the development of this year's team," said head coach Gary Reynolds.
TCU will be back in action tomorrow when it competes on the final day of the Baylor Tournament. The Frogs take on New Mexico State at 9:30 a.m. and Baylor at 3 p.m.
