FORT WORTH, Texas - The following are quotes from head coach Dan Abdalla following TCU's 2-1 double overtime setback to No. 7 Texas Friday night.

"I thought we showed a lot of character tonight. We probably came out a little bit gun shy, which we expect because we are a young team, but once we settled down we started to figure things out from an organizational standpoint. In the second half when we started going at them I thought it opened up the game and gave us a lot more time and space."
"I was happy with our work rate and when you are playing against a team with that much athletic ability you have to match their work rate. I was very happy with the fact that we didn't shy away from the physical aspect of the game and that is huge against a team of that caliber."
"Once we broke their initial pressure we realized that we were going to have the time and space to play. To be honest with you, we were a little bit surprised we had so much time and space to work in. We have a very good creative group that are good soccer players. If we can dictate the game and create opportunities then I think we are going to have a chance in every game we play."
