
Hoge and Roudebush lead charge in TCU summer success

The TCU men's golf program continues to build on its rich tradition during the summer months as several Horned Frogs have found success on the links all over the country as well as into international territory.
Tom Hoge (Fargo, North Dakota | Fargo South High School)
TCU sophomore Tom Hoge captured his second straight North Dakota Match Play title as he defeated Mike Podolak - a six-time winner of the event - in the championship round by a 3-and-2 count.
After opening up action at the North Dakota Match Play with a one-over-par score of 71 - Hoge stormed back to defeat Lukas Davison, 4-and-3, in the quarterfinals followed by a victory over Mike Huber in the semifinals. The triumph at the North Dakota Match Play have Hoge his first victory of the summer season and his second overall top-five finish after recording a third-place showing at the North Dakota Stroke Play.
Scott Roudebush (Austin, Texas | Austin High School)
Scott Roudebush continued his stellar summer campaign as the TCU senior earned silver medal honors at the 2008 Firecracker Open in Austin. The Austin native recorded an 11-under-par score of 202 (67-67-68) after recording three consecutive rounds under 68 at the Firecracker Open. He fell one stroke shy of the title as former Longhorn golfer Michael Cooper claimed the tournament crown.
This summer - Roudebush has competed in six tournaments where he has recorded a pair of top-five finishes and advanced to the Round of 32 at the Cotton States Invitational. The TCU senior posted a fifth-place showing at the CPT Blackhorse and missed qualifying for the Southern Amateur by a single stroke.
James Sacheck (The Woodlands, Texas | Zionsville High School)
James Sacheck has competed against some of the top amateurs from around the world during the summer months and has taken his game to a new level in the process. The 2008 NCAA Championship qualifier finished fourth overall at the North & South Amateur in Pinehurst, N.C. - which will play host to the 2008 U.S. Amateur Championships in August.
The TCU senior finished fourth overall with a three-under-par score of 138 (68-70) before advancing to match play where he dropped a 2-and-1 decision to Patrick Rada in the first round.
Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal High School)
Fort Worth standout Travis Woolf joined Sacheck at the North & South Amateur in Pinehurst, N.C. where he recorded a seventh-place showing with a one-under-par score of 140 (68-72) en route to advancing to match play.
Woolf - who entered match play as the seventh-seed - defeated David Byrne in the first round of action by a 5-and-4 count before falling in the second round to 26th-seed Seth Brandon by a 3-and-2 score.
Robby Ormand (Austin, Texas | James Bowie High School)
Robby Ormand recorded a strong showing at the 2008 Firecracker Open as the TCU senior finished fourth overall with a seven-under-par score of 206 (69-64-73) - including a career-best 64 in the second round of action. The Austin native held the top spot on the leaderboard heading into the final round of action.
Jordan Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Arlington High School)
Jordan Woolf recently competed at the 2008 Firecracker Open alongside teammates Robby Ormand and Scott Roudebush as the TCU junior finished tied for 31st overall with a score of 218 (70-75-73).
