2007-08 | Junior Season
Ormand competed in all 12 tournaments where he recorded a career-best strokes average of 73.90 over the course of 35 rounds during his junior campaign... posted three top-20 finishes during the 2007-08 campaign... tied for fifth overall at the Mountain West Conference Championships where he recorded a two-over-par score of 215 (71-73-71) en route to helping the Frogs notched their best finish at the conference championships... tied for sixth overall at the MacDonald Cup hosted by Yale where he fired a two-round score of 145 (72-73) while leading the Frogs to their first tournament title of the season... tied for 15th overall at The Prestige at PGA West where he notched a one-over-par score of 217 (75-70-72) - including a two-under-par score of 70 in the second round of action... collected his best round of the season at the UH Hilo Invitational where he finished with an even-par score of 210 (73-65-72) - including a career-best round of five-under-par 65 in the second round of action... collected eight rounds of even par or better during his junior season... notched three rounds of sub-70 this past season - including a 67 in the second round of the Mountain West Conference Championships and 68 in the first round of the National Invitational Tournament... finished 21st overall at the National Invitational Tournament with a 54-hole tally of 218 (68-78-72) en route to helping the Frogs secure their second tournament title of the season.
2006-07 | Sophomore Season
The TCU sophomore became the sixth TCU golfer in the past two decades - a list that includes PGA Tour standout J.J. Henry - to become a conference champion when he captured the 2007 Mountain West Conference Championship at the Tucson National Golf Resort... notched a career-best six-under-par score of 207 (68-68-71) - including a par on the first hole of sudden death en route to capturing the conference gold medal... recorded his first career top-20 showing at the National Invitational Tournament at the Tucson National Golf Resort with a one-under-par score of 215 (72-68-75) en route to finishing 16th overall... competed in nine tournaments during his sophomore campaign where he finished with a 74.80 strokes average over 25 rounds of action... recorded the second-most sub-70 rounds (five) on the Horned Frogs - including a career-best 67 at the UH Hilo Intercollegiate.
2005-06 | Freshman Season
Ormand appeared in four events for the Horned Frogs during his freshman season - including a trio of tournaments during the fall season... notched his best finish of the season at the Carpet Capital Collegiate where he finished tied for 22nd overall with a 54-hole score of 220 (72-77-71)... registered a season-best score of 218 on two occasions at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate and UH Hilo Intercollegiate... tied for 39th overall at the UH Hilo Intercollegiate with a 54-hole total of 218 (72-74-72)... finished with a 74-42 strokes average over 12 rounds of action - including an impressive 72.89 strokes average over the final three tournaments... scored a 72 or lower in five of the final eight rounds of action during his rookie campaign.
Amateur Highlights
Ormand reached the match-play portion of the 2006 U.S. Amateur at Hazeltine in his first-ever trip to the world[apos]s most prestigious amateur event... tied for 18th overall among a field of 200 golfers at the 2007 Dixie Amateur... recorded a third-place showing at the Spirit of American Classic in July of 2007... became the fifth player in the 60-year history of the Firecracker Open to claim back-to-back tournament titles when he accomplished the feat in 2005 and 2006... previous winners of the Firecracker Open included PGA Tour stars Tim Kite and Ben Crenshaw - neither of whom had won back-to-back championships... tied for 23rd overall during the stroke-play portion of the 2004 U.S. Junior Amateur en route to capturing a pair of matches before falling in the Round of 16... earned runner-up accolades at the Texas State Amateur during the 2004 and 2007 tournaments... notched a victory at the 2005 Callaway Golf Junior All-Star Classic at Colonial in Jackson, Mississippi... claimed medalist honors at the 2003 Bluebonnet Cup... recorded a top-20 finish at the Rolex Tournament of Champions... tied for 33rd overall at the 2005 Texas State Open - a professional event - after scoring a 72-hole total of 283 (75-69-67-72)... rated at the 51st player in the country by Junior Golf Scoreboard prior to signing with TCU... teamed with his father - Rob - to record an eight-stroke victory at the 2006 Lions Spring Partnership at Lions Municipal in Austin with a two-round score of 122 (60-62).

A product of James Bowie High School - Ormand finished third overall at the Texas 5A State Tournament with a 36-hole score of 138 (70-68) during his senior season... captured the gold medal at the District 25-5A Championships during his junior and senior campaigns.
