
TCU Places Two On MWC All-Tournament Squad

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU junior forward Lizzy Karoly and sophomore midfielder Jackie Torda were named to the Mountain West Conference All-Tournament team this past weekend.
Karoly earned the accolade by recording an assist in TCU's opening-round overtime win over San Diego State, while also netting the lone goal for the Purple and White against Utah in semifinal play in Las Vegas, Nev. For the season, the all-conference selection posted 11 goals, while dishing out seven assists.
Torda, a sophomore from Colleyville, made the all-tournament squad by scoring the game-winning goal against SDSU in the opening-round at Peter Johann Memorial Field. Overall, Torda gave TCU its first win in post-season play in program history under head coach Dan Abdalla by netting the game-winner in the 98th minute of the match. On the year, the sophomore posted five goals and four assists.
TCU will have to wait until Monday to find out if it has received an at-large selection to the NCAA Tournament. All NCAA selections will be announced tomorrow night following the conclusion of conference tournaments today. Opening-round action will take place on Nov. 14 on respective campuses.
