RENO, Nev.- The Horned Frogs rebounded from their previous match with a road win against the Nevada Wolfpack today in Reno. Erin Lorenzen led the team to victory with a dominating performance in air rifle with a score of 592 and a 582 in smallbore. Lorenzen was the top shooter overall in both disciplines.
Tanya Gorin and Simone Riford were on target in today's match. Their scores helped contribute to a 2286-2247 aggregate smallbore score. Gorin tallied a 575 while Riford turned in a solid 576. Lauren Sullivan shot a 553.
In air rifle, TCU came up only four points short on aggregate. TCU was still able to pull out the overall victory thanks to Lorenzen's 592. The rest of the team followed closely including a 584 by Simone Riford. Freshman Mattie Brogdon fired a 582. Lauren Sullivan rounded things out with a 573.
Next week, the Frogs will travel to West Point, N.Y. to take on the Black Knights of Army. The match will be the end of four straight matches on the road.
