
TCU Falls to College of Charleston, 87-75

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Andrew Goudelock scored 20 points, and the College of Charleston withstood a rally by TCU to score a 87-75 victory Sunday night in the Charleston Classic.
Charlston (2-1) jumped out to a 49-30 lead at intermission and held a 60-40 advantage with 16:14 remaining in the game, but the Horned Frogs (1-2) got back in the game with a 12-0 run over the next five minutes. With 8:30 remaining in the game, the Frogs cut the lead to five points, but the Cougars responded with Goudelock scoring on a runner from the lane, and after a TCU turnover, Tony White Jr. hit a jumper and free throw to push the lead back to 10.
The Cougars were able to connect on 8-of-9 free throws over the final four minutes to seal the victory as Charleston went on to post an 86-75 victory on its home court.
The Cougars had four players reach double figures as Dustin Scott added 14 points while Jermaine Johnson and Antwaine Wiggins notched 12 and 10 points, respectively. As a team, the Cougars connected on 54.1 percent (33-of-61) of their field goal attempts - including 58.8 percent (20-of-34) in the first half of action.
Kevin Langford scored 27 points to lead the Frogs on 10-of-14 shooting, including 7-of-7 from the charity stripe, to go along with seven rebounds in 27 minutes of action. Edvinas Ruzgas posted his third consecutive double-digit scoring performance with 12 points to go along with five rebounds in 33 minutes of court time.
