Individual Notes
- Andy Dalton's 70-yard touchdown toss to Jimmy Young was TCU's longest play from scrimmage since Jeff Ballard and Donald Massey connected on a 77-yard pass last year (Oct. 28, 2006) versus Wyoming. It was also Young's first collegiate touchdown.
- Dalton finished the game with a career-high 344 yards passing, the most for a TCU quarterback since Tye Gunn threw for 368 in a 48-45 double-overtime victory over Northwestern to open the 2005 season. Dalton also broke the 300-yard barrier earlier this season at Air Force (320).
- Young's 110 receiving yards on three catches were the most by a Frog since Cory Rodgers had 128 yards on six grabs in a 48-10 win at Air Force on Oct. 22, 2005.
- Aaron Brown's 2-yard scoring reception from Andy Dalton was his first touchdown of the season. He made a season-high five catches for 45 yards. Brown later added a two-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter and totaled 91 yards on the ground on 21 carries.
- TCU tailback Joseph Turner saw his first action since Sept. 8 versus Texas and finished with 75 yards on 12 carries. He did not play in the Frogs' previous four games. His 17-yard second-quarter scoring run was the second rushing touchdown of his career.
- Brown and Turner gave TCU a pair of 75-yard rushers in the same game for the first time since last season's Nov. 4 win over UNLV, when Lonta Hobbs (93) and Jeff Ballard (84) each surpassed the mark.
- Tailback Justin Watts' 33-yard reception in the first quarter was the second-longest pass play of his career, trailing only a 47-yard grab last year versus San Diego State.
- Fullback Chris Smith had his first two rush attempts of the season, totaling two yards.
- Andy Dalton's 6-yard scoring run was the first rushing touchdown of his career.
- Quarterbacks now have three of TCU's six rushing touchdowns on the season. Marcus Jackson has rushed for the other two scores from the signal caller position.
- In the second quarter, Chase Ortiz recorded his fourth sack of the season while David Hawthorne posted his third. Ortiz added his fifth sack in the fourth quarter.
- Stephen Hodge posted his second and third sacks of the season. Hodge ranks tied with Hawthorne for second among all Frogs in the category, behind only Ortiz.
- Hawthorne led the Frogs with 10 tackles, all unassisted stops.
- The TCU defense amassed a season-high 15 tackles for loss Saturday. The unit's previous high total of the season was 10 against Colorado State.
- Hodge led the Frog defense with three TFL.
- Quinton Cunigan had a career-long 27-yard reception in the second quarter. His previous-long catch on four career grabs had been 10 yards.
- Chris Manfredini's second-quarter field goal made him 9-of-13 this season and 34-of-40 in his TCU career. He needs one more field goal to tie Lee Newman (1986-88) and Ken Ozee (1982-85) for fifth on the Frogs' all-time list for made attempts.
- Evan Frosch had two receptions for 14 yards after entering the game with one catch for eight yards.
