Score Limit 70
• TCU has held 11 of its last 12 opponents to 70 points or less. The only team over that stretch to score more than 70 was BYU on Jan. 10.
• From Nov. 24 through Jan. 6, the Horned Frogs limited 10 consecutive teams to 70 or under. It was the first time a Frog team accomplished that feat since the 1986-87 season, when TCU held 13 opponents in a row under that total (Jan. 7-Feb. 21, 1987).
Tough Early Slate
• Entering this year, TCU's had an all-time combined record of 14-29 (.326) against its first five MWC opponents - New Mexico, Utah, BYU, Colorado State and UNLV. However, the Horned Frogs have won two of the four games thus far this year.
Needing Some Shots to Drop
• TCU shot 48.2 percent (41-of-85) from the floor during the team's 2-0 start to league play, but has made just 35.3 percent (42-of-119) of its shots in its two consecutive losses.
• The Frogs were 35-for-45 (.778) from the free throw line in the wins and 30-for-56 in the two losses (.536).
The Horned Frogs Against the Runnin' Rebels
• UNLV leads the all-time series 6 games to 1 and has won two consecutive contests.
• The seven previous meetings have been determined by 54 total points, an average of 7.7 per contest.
• UNLV swept the season series last year, winning by 13 points in Fort Worth and by 11 in Las Vegas.
Fathers and Sons
• Both head coaches in tonight's game, TCU's Neil Dougherty and UNLV's Lon Kruger, will be coaching their sons, who are senior point guards on their respective teams.
• In addition, TCU Director of Operations Sean Woods is the father of Horned Frog freshman guard Martiese Morones.
