FORT WORTH, Texas - Gofrogs.com recently sat down with TCU swimmer Keleigh Wentworth. Wentworth, a Midland, Texas, native, is entering her senior season with the Frogs.
GoFrogs.com: Did you do anything interesting over the summer?
Keleigh Wentworth: I went to Europe with the TCU Business School for three weeks.
GoFrogs.com: How are workouts going so far, and how are the freshmen performing?
Wentworth: Workouts are going really well as the seniors have been stepping us as leaders. The freshmen have shown a lot of fight, and want to prove themselves.
GoFrogs.com: Why did you choose to attend TCU?
Wentworth: I really liked the coaches and the school. Also, my sister ran track at TCU.
GoFrogs.com: What is your major, and what are your plans after graduation?
Wentworth: I'm a double major in finance and accounting. I'm taking the GMAT next week and hope to get into the master's of accounting program here at TCU.
GoFrogs.com: What is your outlook for the upcoming season?
Wentworth: I think we'll have a great year if we can all get into the workouts early in the season, and keep it going through the last meet without experiencing any downtime.
GoFrogs.com: What's it like swimming for Coach Sybesma?
Wentworth: Very interesting. He's a lot of fun. In the morning, if I'm in a bad mood, he will sing to me. He's a great guy and really cares about us.
GoFrogs.com: Do you have a nickname on the team?
Wentworth: Coach calls me "Ventvorth!" (in a German accent)
GoFrogs.com: If you could play another sport at TCU, what would it be?
Wentworth: Golf.
GoFrogs.com: What is your favorite movie?
Wentworth: JFK
GoFrogs.com: Who is your favorite recording artist?
Wentworth: Dority Kane, who was on MTV's "Making the Band 3", and Paris Hilton.
GoFrogs.com: Who is your most influential role model?
Wentworth: My sister, because she has a strong work ethic and I always watched her try her best.
GoFrogs.com: If you could meet one person in history, who would it be?
Wentworth: Probably John F. Kennedy because I am so interested in the conspiracy theories of his assassination.
GoFrogs.com: What do you like to do in your free time outside of swimming?
Wentworth: I like to hang out with friends, watch TV and sleep.
GoFrogs.com: Do you have any pre-meet rituals?
Wentworth: I have a certain set of stretches that all of my teammates make fun of me for because I'm very intense about them.
GoFrogs.com: What was your most memorable moment in swimming?
Wentworth: When we won the Conference USA Championship my freshman year.
