
Volleyball opens MWC play Saturday against Wyoming

FORT WORTH, Texas - Conference volleyball action gets under way Saturday for the TCU volleyball team when it hosts Wyoming. The Frogs are off to their best start in school history with an 11-2 mark and will look to open the conference slate with a victory. The match is slated for a 2 p.m. start at the University Rec Center.The Frogs and Webstreaming

A Look Back At TCU vs. Texas State:
The TCU Horned Frogs got back to their winning ways with a 3-0 (30-24, 30-17, 30-25) sweep of Texas State Wednesday night at the University Rec Center. LeMeita Smith led the Frog attack as she racked up 12 kills in the three-game match. Calli Corley paced the Frogs defensively with 17 digs. The Frogs dropped in 13 aces on the night, led by Lauren Otto's career-high, five.
The TCU vs. Wyoming Series
Wyoming leads the all-time series, 6-1. Prior to becomig conference foes in the Mountain West, TCU and Wyoming squared off as members of the Western Athletic Conference from 1996-1998. The lone Frog victory in the series came last season when TCU defeated Wyoming, 3-0 on October 11 in Fort Worth. The Cowgirls are 2-1 all-time in Fort Worth.
The Frogs and Conference Openers
The 2006 season marks the 11th year of Horned Frog Volleyball. In that time, the Frogs have been members of three difference conferences, the WAC, Conference USA and the Mountain West. They own an all-time record of 3-7 in conference openers. Under head coach Prentice Lewis, the Frogs are 1-3.
