Five Frogs tabbed for preseason All-MWC honors

CORONADO, Calif. -- Five TCU football players have been named by the league media to the 2006 preseason All-Mountain West Conference team.

TCU, picked to repeat as league champion, tied BYU and Utah for the most selections on the squad.

Defensive ends Tommy Blake and Chase Ortiz, linebacker Jason Phillips and safety Marvin White gave the Frogs four of the 12 players named to the defensive team.

Tackle Herb Taylor represented TCU on offense.
