MALIBU, Calif. - The 32nd-ranked TCU men's tennis team saw its season come to an end after falling to second-ranked Pepperdine 4-0 on Sunday afternoon. The Frogs finished the 2006 season with an 18-10 overall record to go along with a Mountain West Conference Championship.
The Waves established a strong rhythm early in the match by taking victories at courts No. 1 and No. 2 in doubles to gain a 1-0 advantage. The 47th-ranked duo of Ivor Lovrak and Pedro Rico downed TCU's sophomore tandem of Cosmin Cotet and Andrei Mlendea 8-3 at No. 2.
