The Horned Frogs have placed in the top three in three of their last five tournaments. Last weekend, TCU was third at the Texas A&M "Mo"Morial.
"We're just trying to build momentum," TCU coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. "We're looking forward to playing some good golf and continuing to focus inward.
"We need to take care of business, focusing on what we need to do in order to beat these teams."
Individually, TCU was led at the "Mo"Morial by Elin Emanuelsson. The Nacka, Sweden, native was second individually for her top career finish. Her 54-hole score of 225 (+9) was her second-best effort, trailing only the 221 she carded this fall when TCU posted a 21-stroke victory at Kansas State's Marilynn Smith Invitational.
Emanuelsson is one of three juniors making an impact for the Frogs. Camille Blackerby, ranked 85th by Golfweek with a 73.86 rating, has a team-best 74.76 stroke average, while Catherine Matranga is tied for the national lead with three eagles. Blackerby has recorded TCU's top score in four of seven tournaments in the 2005-06 campaign.
Matranga and Emanuelsson are ranked 143rd and 160th, respectively, by Golfweek.
TCU placed sixth at last year's Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, posting a 324-307-307--938 (+74), 24 strokes behind champion Duke. Matranga (226) and Blackerby (227) tied for second and fifth, respectively. Matranga was just two shots behind medalist Stacy Lewis of Arkansas.
