- Jeff Ballard set a TCU and Mountain West Conference single-game completion percentage record of 87.0 by completing 20-of-23 attempts for 288 yards and five touchdowns. The NCAA mark for 20-to-29 single-game attempts is 95.8 (23-of-24) by Tee Martin of Tennessee against South Carolina in 1998.
- Ballard established a TCU record with 14 consecutive completions over the first and second quarters. The previous Frogs' mark was 13 by Max Knake against SMU and Oklahoma State in the 1993 campaign.
- Ballard's five touchdown passes tied a single-game TCU record shared by Matt Vogler (vs. Houston, 1990) and Steve Stamp (vs. UT-Arlington, 1981).
- Ballard tied a single-game Horned Frog record by accounting for six touchdowns (five passing, one rushing). Ballard originally equaled the mark last year against New Mexico. It was initially set by LaDainian Tomlinson versus UTEP in 1999.
- Ballard's five touchdown passes equaled his season total entering the game.
- Ballard improved his record to 16-2 (88.9 percent) as the Frogs' starting quarterback. His mark ranks first all-time at TCU.
- Donald Massey's three touchdown receptions represented his first three collegiate scores. He had a career-high 100 yards receiving on six catches. Massey is the third Frog this season to have a 100-yard receiving game.
- The Frogs posted their first shutout since a 44-0 blanking of SMU on Sept. 11, 2004.
- TCU posted its most-lopsided victory since a 62-7 win over SMU on Nov. 24, 2000.
- With a 38-0 halftime lead, TCU has now outscored its opponents 121-6 in the first half during its five-game winning streak.
- The Frogs have not surrendered a touchdown in their last two home games, outscoring Wyoming and San Diego State by a combined 78-3.
- The Frogs had their most points in a game since a 62-55 victory at Houston on Oct. 25, 2003.
- TCU won its 16th-straight Saturday game. The Frogs also have an 11-game winning streak in day contests.
- Marvin White's first-quarter interception was his team-best fourth of the season. He is now TCU's active career leader with seven.

- Brian Bonner's first-quarter sack gave him 4.5 on the year and 7.5 for his career.
- Shae Reagan's 44-yard first-quarter touchdown catch marked his second scoring reception of the season. All nine of his grabs on the year have gone for first downs.
- Quentily Harmon's 30-yard second-quarter touchdown catch was his second scoring reception of the season and ninth of his career.
- Ryan Christian and William Cage recorded their first career receptions in the first half, giving TCU 17 different players with at least one catch this season.
- Peter LoCoco's 44-yard second-quarter field goal was his eighth consecutive made attempt. He is now 5-of-6 on the season between 40 and 49 yards, and 9-of-12 for the season.
- Daryl Washington and Steven Coleman recorded punt blocks for TCU, increasing the Frogs' total to three on the season. Robert Henson had the other punt block in a 12-3 win over Texas Tech (Sept. 16).
- Coleman had his first interception of the season and second of his career on the final play of the first half.
- Cody Moore started at nose tackle in place of Jarrarcea Williams (illness). It's the first game Williams has not started this season.
