FORT WORTH, Texas -- Former TCU basketball standouts Corey Santee and Sandora Irvin are featured on the front cover of the 2005 SBC Yellow Pages while the Davy O'Brien Award, named after the former Frog Heisman Trophy Winner, is highlighted on the White Pages cover.More than two million directories have been printed to serve residences, businesses and government offices in the Greater Fort Worth Area. It is estimated that area residents collectively reference the Fort Worth SBC Yellow Pages 99,000 times each day.
Santee was a two-time All-Conference USA selection. He holds the Frog career assists record (575) while ranking second in both scoring (1,832 points) and steals (155). Santee averaged 21.7 points while shooting 57.6 percent from 3-point range during TCU's NIT run this past season.
Irvin, the 2004-05 Conference USA Female Athlete of the Year, was chosen third overall in the WNBA draft by the Phoenix Mercury. Named to the C-USA All-Decade Team, Irvin was also the league's Player of the Year in addition to being named the C-USA Defensive Player of the Year three straight seasons.
Irvin is the NCAA's career leader in blocked shots (480) while her 150 rejections last season fell just two shy of tying the NCAA's single-season record. She recorded the first triple-double in school history with 20 points, 18 rebounds and an NCAA single-game record 16 blocks versus UAB.
O'Brien captured the Heisman Trophy in 1938, becoming the first player from TCU and the Southwest Conference to receive the honor. Each year, the Davy O'Brien Foundation honors the nation's best college quarterback, a high school senior student-athlete from Tarrant or Dallas county and a quarterback who's contributed significantly to the game.
