Broadway Named NCBWA Pro-Line National Pitcher of the Week

Fort Worth, Texas - For the second time this season, TCU pitcher Lance Broadway has been named the NCBWA Pro-Line National Pitcher of the Week. On Friday night, Broadway threw a complete-game shutout at No. 1 Tulane, holding the top-hitting team in Conference USA to just four hits.
He posted his fourth consecutive double-digit strikeout game, fanning 10 Green Wave batters, while walking just one. It was the seventh time this season that Broadway has fanned 10 or more batters in a game and it marked his fourth complete game of the year. With the win, Broadway continues to lead the nation with 13 wins.
This is Broadway's second National Pitcher of the Week honor this season. He has also been named a semifinalist for the Brooks Wallace Award, Roger Clemens Award, and the Xanthas-Dick Howser Trophy. He is just one of five collegiate players to be a semifinalist for all three awards.
