- Brian Bonner's first-quarter interception gave TCU nine picks on the year from nine different players. Quincy Butler then recorded an interception later in the quarter to become the first Horned Frog with two picks this season. - Over the last three games, TCU now has 16 takeaways and three giveaways. The Frogs are a plus-13 on the season in turnover margin, including plus-16 in the five wins.
- For the second game in a row, TCU recorded four interceptions to move the season total to 12. The Horned Frogs had nine INTs in all of 2004.
- The Horned Frogs converted their first two third-down opportunities after going 0-for-13 in last week's 49-28 win over New Mexico.
- Robert Merrill's first-quarter touchdown was his fifth of the season, tying him with Cory Rodgers for the team lead.
- Chris Manfredini's 32 and 34-yard first-half field goals made him 6-of-6 on the season and 16-of-17 in his career.
- The second-quarter interception thrown by Jeff Ballard was his first pick in 50 career pass attempts.
- TCU has outscored its opposition 37-0 in the first quarter of the last two games. The Frogs led 28-0 at the end of the opening stanza last week versus New Mexico.
