- Today marked Gary Patterson's 57th game as TCU's head coach, tying him with Francis Schmidt (1929-33) for sixth on the Horned Frogs' career list.
- Ballard had TCU's first 300-yard passing day since Tye Gunn threw for 368 yards in last year's season-opening 48-45 double-overtime victory over Northwestern.
- William Jackson's first-quarter touchdown was his second of the season and second of his career. Both scores have come in games televised by ESPN+Plus. His other touchdown came in the 51-50 overtime win at BYU.
- Drew Coleman's first-quarter interception was his third pick of the season and fourth of his career.
- Over the last four games, TCU has outscored its opponents 58-10 in the first quarter. The Frogs led 7-3 today.
- With his six catches on the day, Cory Rodgers took over sole possession of fourth place on the TCU career receiving list with 141. Rodgers broke a tie at 135 with John Washington (1993-96). Next on the list is Stephen Shipley in third with 152 (1989-92).
- With six catches for 128 yards, Rodgers posted his second 100-yard receiving day on the season and seventh of his career.
- Robert Merrill's second-quarter rushing touchdown gave him seven on the season and 17 in his career.
- Brent Hecht's 15-yard scoring reception was his first career touchdown and just his second career catch.
- Jesse Hejny's punt block was TCU's second of the season.
- Ballard's second-quarter rushing touchdown was his seventh of the year, tying him with Merrill for the team lead.
- Aaron Brown's rushing touchdown was his first career score on the ground. He has a team-best three receiving touchdowns.
- Jeremy Modkins recorded his third interception of the season and fifth of his career.
- TCU posted its largest margin of victory (38 points) since a 44-0 win over SMU on Sept. 11, 2004.
- Backup quarterback Chad Huffman scored his first career touchdown on a 19-yard run in the fourth quarter.
- Redshirt freshman tailback Justin Watts' first career rush went for 58 yards. It was the second longest rush of the season for TCU behind Aaron Brown's 73-yard run against New Mexico.
- The Frogs played all 64 players who made the trip. Fifty-one players were used in the first quarter.
