Amon G. Carter Stadium TCU General
* TCU is now 62-37-9 all time in season openers.
* TCU is now 3-1 against Northwestern all time. The Horned Frogs have won three straight in the series.
* TCU has claimed four straight wins over schools from BCS conferences, earning victories over Northwestern (twice), Vanderbilt and Arizona. The last loss to a BCS league school came to Texas A&M in the Galleryfurniture.com Bowl on Dec. 28, 2001.
* TCU has been victorious in 14 straight regular season home games. The last regular season loss suffered at Amon G. Carter Stadium came on Oct. 30, 2001, against East Carolina.
* The 93 combined points were the most scored in a game at Amon Carter Stadium since TCU's 49-45 shootout win over Houston on Nov. 23, 1991. It was the third-highest scoring game in ACS history, behind only an 81-16 Texas win over TCU on Nov. 16, 1974 and the 1991 Houston game.
* TCU is now 3-3 all time in overtime games, and has two straight wins by a field goal.
* Tonight's attendance was 26,843. TCU Offense
* TCU quarterback Tye Gunn set career highs with 368 passing yards, 20 completions and 38 attempts. He surpassed his previous career best (243 yards at Tulane on Sept, 1, 2003) in the first half, as he passed for 249 yards before halftime of tonight's game.
* Gunn also surpassed his career high with four touchdown passes in the game. His previous best was a three-TD effort at Louisville on Oct. 19, 2002.
* Gunn's 82-yard TD pass to Michael DePriest was the longest pass completion of his career. It was the Frogs' longest play from scrimmage since a 98-yard touchdown pass against Arizona on Sept. 27, 2003.
* DePriest's TD reception was the first score of his Horned Frog career. He also recorded his first-ever 100-yard receiving game (125 on three catches).
* Reggie Harrell (20-yard TD and 49-yard TD) recorded his first-ever two-touchdown game. He entered tonight's game with just two scores in his first three seasons.
* Lonta Hobbs rushed 23 times for 142 yards and two TDs. It was his eighth career 100-yard rushing game.
* Hobbs has 23 career rushing touchdowns, which ties him with Kenneth Davis for fourth on the all-time TCU list.
TCU Special Teams
* TCU placekicker Peter LoCoco made his first-ever field goal attempt, connecting from 37 yards in the third quarter.
* After having a 25-yard kick blocked in the first OT, LoCoco drilled a 47-yarder to win the game in the second overtime. Northwestern Game Notes
* With the loss, Northwestern fell to 69-44-4 in season-opening games. NU had started two of the last three seasons with victories on the road.
* Wide receiver Mark Philmore has caught a pass in all 21 career games played. He finished the game with a career-high 12 receptions for a career-best 131 yards.
* Jonathan Fields, a receiver from Sweeny, Texas, entered the game with two career catches. He finished the contests with eight receptions for 202 yards and his first career TD.
* Quarterback Brett Basanez had his best passing game (yardage-wise). He threw for 241 yards alone in the first half and finished with a career-best 513 passing yards. It was the first 500-yard passing game in school history.
* NU finished the game with two 100-yard receivers--the first time that has happened since Nov. 21, 1998, when D'Wayne Bates had 146 yards and Jay Tant had 111. Jonathan Fields finished with 202 yards and Mark Philmore had 131.
* Noah Herron recorded his fourth career multiple-TD game with a pair of rushing touchdowns.
* Jonathan Fields' 202 receiving yards were the fourth-most ever by an NU player.
* Redshirt freshman Kim Thompson recorded his first career catch.
* Ashton Aikens had career highs in catches (8) and yards (87).
