TCU GENERAL
- Linebacker Ryan Schlenger and defensive end Tommy Blake made their first career starts for the Horned Frogs today. 21 players have make their first career starts for TCU this season, including 14 on the defensive side of the ball.
- TCU fell to 5-6 on the season. It was their first losing season since going 1-10 in 1997.
- Tulane defeated the Frogs in Fort Worth for the first time since September 22, 1979, a 33-19 Green Wave win.
- TCU holds an 8-4 advantage in the all-time series against Tulane.
- The Frogs dropped a game in Amon G. Carter Stadium for just the third time in their last 20 contests.
TCU OFFENSE
- Cory Rodgers had over 100 receiving yards for the third straight game and for the fourth time in the last five games. He has five career 100-yard receiving games.
- Robert Merrill scored a career-high three rushing touchdowns. It matches Brandon Hassell's three touchdowns rushing last week against Southern Miss as the team high in 2004. Merrill had just three rushing touchdowns all season entering today's game.
- Robert Merrill went over the 100-yard rushing mark for the second straight game, for the third time this season and for the eighth time in his career.
- Cory Rodgers caught 10 passes today to give him 61 on the season, which is the third highest single season total in TCU history, behind only the 64 by Kelly Blackwell in both 1990 and 1991.
- Cory Rodgers caught his seventh touchdown pass of the season, tying for the fourth highest single season total in TCU history, behind only Mike Renfro's 10 in 1977, Mike Scarborough's eight in 1999 and Stanley Washington's eight in 1980.
- Cory Rodgers logged 141 receiving yards today to give him 836 on the season, the fourth highest single season total in school history.
- The Frogs scored 31 points to give them 362 on the season, tying the 1984 season for the second highest scoring team in school history, behind only the 2000 squad that tallied 410 points.
TCU DEFENSE
- Quincy Butler intercepted a Richard Irvin pass in the third quarter. It was the second interception of his career and his second in as many games. He went 99-yards with an interception return last week against Southern Miss.
- Martin Patterson logged 16 tackles to finish the season with 131 stops.
TCU SPECIAL TEAMS
- Cory Rodgers broke the single season kickoff returns record at TCU. He surpassed Allen Hooker's mark of 28 returns, set in 1975.
