TCU Team:
* The Horned Frogs have won nine straight games at Amon G. Carter Stadium dating back to the 2001 season. The streak started with a 37-22 victory over 17th-ranked Louisville on Nov. 23, 2001. The school record for consecutive home wins is 12 (1932-34).
* Tonight's attendance was 37,192. TCU's home average through two games is now 36,440.
* TCU is 3-1 all-time against Vanderbilt and the Horned Frogs have won two straight.
* TCU is 3-0 for the first time since 2000 (when the team opened 7-0) and the second time since 1991, when the Frogs were 4-0. Prior to that, the last time TCU was 3-0 was 1956.
* The Horned Frogs, who led 17-14 at halftime, have now led at intermission in 14 of their last 15 contests.
TCU Offense:
* Quarterback Brandon Hassell made his first career start. He completed 15 of 30 passes for 227 yards and one touchdown. His first career touchdown pass came with 4:31 left in the game when he hooked up with Quentily Harmon on a 17-yard strike.
* Running back Lonta Hobbs scored on a seven-yard sweep in the first quarter and has scored 17 rushing touchdowns in 11 career games. He has moved into a tie with Cy Leland (1928-30) for sixth place on the all-time rushing TDs.
* Hobbs has scored at least one rushing touchdown in five of his last six games, including all three this year.
* Hobbs left the game in the first quarter with an injury and did not return.
* Redshirt freshman running back Robert Merrill made his Horned Frog backfield debut and scored his first career touchdown on a 19-yard scamper with 5:08 left in the second quarter.
* Merrill rushed for a TCU season-high 119 yards on 29 carries. He is the second TCU running back this season (Madison-115 vs. Tulane) to rush for more than 100 yards in a game.
* TCU has had a 100-yard rusher in nine of its last 10 games dating back to last season.
* Redshirt freshman wideout Quentily Harmon scored his first career touchdown on a 17-yard reception in the fourth quarter.

* TCU forced four turnovers (two interceptions, two fumbles) after forcing just four in the first two games combined.
TCU Special Teams:
* Nick Browne tied a career-long with a 50-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. It is the third time in his career that he has booted a 50-yarder.
* Browne eclipsed the 200-point mark for his career on the 50-yard FG. With 202 points, he now ranks sixth on the all-time scoring list after surpassing Jim Swink (1954-56), who tallied 201 points.
