TCU All-Time Bowl Notes - Team
* TCU appeared in its sixth consecutive bowl game, extending the school's longest streak.
* The Horned Frogs are now 7-13-1 all time in bowl games.
TCU All-Time Bowl Notes - Individual
* Wide receiver Cory Rodgers tied a TCU bowl record with two touchdowns scored. It has now been accomplished eight times in Horned Frog history.
* TCU established a school record for points scored in a bowl game with 31, surpassing the old record of 28 which was achieved on three occasions, most recently against East Carolina in the 1999 Mobile Alabama Bowl.
* TCU set a school record for total offensive yards in a bowl game with 494. The old record was 366 vs. Carnegie Tech in the 1939 Sugar Bowl.
* With 107 yards receiving, wide receiver Reggie Harrell set a TCU bowl record for receiving yards, breaking the old mark of 90 set by James Maness vs. West Virginia in the 1984 Bluebonnet Bowl.
PlainsCapital Fort Worth Bowl Notes
* Cory Rodgers scored the first touchdown in PlainsCapital Fort Worth Bowl history with a three-yard rush at the 9:53 mark of the first quarter.
* Elvis Gallegos' interception in the second quarter was the first pickoff in Fort Worth Bowl history. It was the second INT of his career.
TCU Season Notes - Team
* The 24 first-half points were the second-most scored by TCU in any first half this year, behind only a 28-point effort against Houston on Oct. 25.
* TCU played eight games this season that were decided by seven points or less, posting a 7-1 record in those games.
TCU Season Notes - Individual
* In addition to his rushing TD, Rodgers also had a 22-yard touchdown reception. Rodgers, who had two receiving and one rushing score against Houston on Oct. 25, is the only TCU player this year to have a rushing and receiving TD in the same game.
* With 107 yards receiving, wide receiver Reggie Harrell became the first player in TCU history to break the 1,000-yard mark receiving for a season. He finished with 1,012 on the year.
* Quarterback Brandon Hassell set a career high with 110 rushing yards. It was his first career 100-yard rushing game.
* Running back Lonta Hobbs carried 23 times for 117 yards. It was the fourth-biggest ground game in TCU bowl history and was his second 100-yard game of the season and the seventh of his career.
* TCU quarterback Kyle Kummer recorded his first career completion in the game.
* Kicker Nick Browne scored seven points to finish with 299 career points, second all-time behind only former running back LaDainian Tomlinson (325).
TCU Streaks - Team
* The loss snapped a 13-game winning streak for the Horned Frogs in Amon G. Carter Stadium. The streak began with a 37-22 victory over Louisville on Nov. 23, 2001.
