
TCU Men's Tennis Drops Saint Louis

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU men's tennis team played a double-header Friday, beginning with a 6-1 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and then a 6-1 victory over C-USA opponent Saint Louis. The Frogs are now 2-0 on the season.
Against SLU, the Frogs swept the doubles point with the teams of Fabrizio Sestini and Alex Menichini defeating Lance Vodicka and Ikaika Jobe 8-5. Daniel Scholten and Rafael Abreu defeated Taylor Curren and Tom DeLarzac 8-4 and the team of Toni Gordon and Jacopo Tezza defeated Thomas Kwong and Michael Hoosien 8-4.
On the singles side, Menichini dropped a tough match to Jobe 6-2; 2-6; 6-3 at the No. 1 slot. At the No. 2 spot, Gordon def. Vodicka 6-0; 6-2, at No. 3 Sestini def. De Larzac 6-1; 6-1 and at No. 4 Tezza def. Kwong 7-5; 6-1. Holding the No. 5 spot strong, Scholten def. Sanjeev Paramanathan 6-0; 6-2 and at No. 6 Jacob Martin def. Curran 6-2; 6-3.
Next up for the Frogs is a trip to Arlington to take on UTA on Wednesday Jan. 29 at 1:30 p.m.
