FORT WORTH, Texas - Sunday afternoon, January 19, will be the final opportunity for TCU faithful to get an up-close look at the new state-of-the-art home of Horned Frog baseball before the February 2 season opener with Texas-Arlington. Lupton Stadium and Williams-Reilly Field will be open to the public and available for tours, seat selection for season tickets, an intrasquad scrimmage and autograph session. Admission to the open house is free.
Beginning at 2 p.m., Horned Frog coaches and players will be on hand to greet fans and show off their new home, which ranks second only to the Ballpark in Arlington as the premier baseball facility in the Metroplex. While at Lupton Stadium, fans will have the chance to select which seats they wish to purchase to see all the great college baseball action this season, including visits by national powers Texas Tech and BYU and premier C-USA programs Houston, Tulane, East Carolina, Louisville and South Florida.
At 3 p.m., fans can watch 2003 preseason all-American Terry Trofholz and the rest of the Horned Frogs as they go through one of their final intrasquad scrimmages before the season-opening showdown with UTA.
The afternoon will conclude with an opportunity for fans to meet their favorite Horned Frog players. The "Meet the Frogs" session will begin at approximately 4 p.m.
Season and individual-game tickets for the entire 30-game slate at Lupton Stadium are on sale now. Call the TCU ticket office at (817) 257-FROG for information.
