Dunbar Earns Player of the Week Accolades

TCU senior kick returner LaTarence Dunbar has been selected as the Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of October 5, the conference office announced today.
With the score tied at 10, Dunbar returned the opening kick of the second half 96 yards for a touchdown against Houston on Saturday, giving TCU a lead it would not relinquish. It was the third kickoff return for a touchdown in Dunbar's career, becoming the first TCU player to accomplish that feat. For the day, he returned three kicks for 139 yards.
Dunbar is the second TCU football player to be honored by the conference this season. Placekicker Nick Browne was the league's Special Teams Player of the Week following his record-setting five field goal effort at Cincinnati on Labor Day.
