FORT WORTH, Texas (September 14, 2001) -- TCU head women's soccer coach Dave Rubinson announced today that the Horned Frogs will play Baylor this Monday, September 17 in an effort to make up this weekend's cancelled games. The match will be played at Waco, Texas at 7:30 p.m. at Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field.
Like TCU, the Bears enter Monday's match with a 2-2 record, posting a 4-0 win over Furman and a 3-2 victory against Loyola Marymount. Baylor lost their season and home opener on August 31 to then-no. 21 Arizona State 0-3 in the Baylor Labor Day Classic. The Bears other loss came at the hands of San Diego by a 2-3 margin.
Baylor's true freshman forward April Robertson leads the team in points (6) and goals (3), including two in their win over Loyola Marymount. Freshman Ginny Rosario-Tull is second on the team in points (4) and goals (2).
The Frogs are 2-3-1 all-time versus Baylor, but are 0-3 in their last three meetings. The Bears defeated TCU last season 1-0 in the inaugural home match played at the Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium in Fort Worth.
