FORT WORTH, Texas--Numerous ticket options are available for TCU football fans for the exciting upcoming 2001 season that is the Horned Frogs' inaugural year as a member of Conference USA. TCU fans are currently able to buy season tickets for Frog home games and also may purchase tickets to a featured road game this upcoming season.
This year, first-year head coach Gary Patterson and his Horned Frogs will play five home games at Amon G. Carter Stadium, including three against 2000 bowl teams. Highlighting the schedule will be new Conference USA opponents Army (Oct. 20), East Carolina (Oct. 30) and Louisville (Nov. 24). Also visiting Fort Worth are non-conference foes Marshall (Sept. 15) and Northwestern State (Sept. 22).
"In our inaugural season in Conference USA, we are excited about the opponents the Frogs will face and the opportunities we will have to increase our ticket base," said Kevin O'Connell, TCU Associate Athletics Director.
TCU, which set a school record for season ticket sales a year ago, finished the 2000 season ranked among college football's Top 25 and had the top-rated defense in the nation. The Frogs return 10 players from last year's squad, including junior quarterback Casey Printers.
Among the top-selling season ticket options include the $100 Family Frog Zone Plan (2 adults, 2 children, 5 games) and the $95 Premium Season Ticket Plan (1 seat, 5 games). Season ticket packages are available for as low as $5 per seat per game. For more information or to order tickets, call (817) 257-FROG.
In addition, a limited number of tickets are still available for TCU fans wanting to attend the 2001 Pigskin Classic in Lincoln, Neb. at noon on Saturday, August 25.
