The TCU women's tennis team will face Big West Champion Boise State on Saturday, May 12, at 10 a.m. in the first round of the NCAA tournament in Austin, Texas. The 19th-ranked Horned Frogs are 20-3 this season while the 67th-ranked Broncos are 20-5.
This is TCU's fifth tournament appearance in six years. Both TCU and Boise State earned automatic bids to this year's tournament by winning their respective conference tournaments. TCU won the WAC title in its final year in the WAC before joining Conference USA, while Boise State won its final Big West title before joining the WAC next season.
The 13th-ranked Texas Longhorns will host Alcorn State in the other regional match in Austin on Saturday. The winners of Saturday's matches will face each other at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 13.
In last year's tournament, TCU lost to Virginia Commonwealth, 5-1, in the first round.
