TCU Women's Tennis Narrowly Defeats SMU, 4-3

To start the match, TCU won at doubles 2 and 3 to secure the doubles point. In singles the Frogs won at nos. 2, 5 and 6, to win the match. Freshman Paty Aburto won her 10th straight match when she defeated Megan Russell, 6-4, 6-1, at no. 2. Aburto is now 23-3 overall and 15-2 in dual matches. Junior Katrin Gaber lost to 41st-ranked Dee Dee Herring, 6-2, 6-2, at the no. 1 position.
TCU will finish its regular season with two home matches. The Frogs host Oregon, Saturday, April 14, at 1:30 p.m. TCU's final home match this season is Tuesday, April 17, when they play 68th-ranked UT-Arlington at 2 p.m. Both matches will be played on the Bernard "Tut" Bartzen Varsity Courts at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
