Southwest Texas Defeats TCU, 9-4

As a team, Southwest Texas had nine extra base hits, four home runs and five doubles. The Bobcats jumped out to an early 3-0 on a solo home run by Domonique Lewis and a two-run shot by Bryan Kent. Then in the fifth, Mark Younk and Kent hit back to back home runs, increasing the lead to 8-0.
The Frogs finally got on the scoreboard in the sixth, scoring three runs on two walks, two hits and a pair of RBI-groundouts by Mike Settle and Jason Price. In the sixth, Trey Crawford doubled and scored, and Erick Macha singled to extend his hitting streak to 12 games. Macha added a solo home run in the eighth, his second home run in as many days.
TCU starter Chris Frazier allowed eight runs, seven earned on 10 hits in four-plus innings.
TCU returns to action on Friday, when they open a three-game WAC series against Nevada. The Frogs and Wolf Pack will play single games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
