Tomlinson Named WAC Football Offensive Player of the Week

Tomlinson, a senior from Waco, Texas (University HS), rushed 39 times for 243 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-14 win over Northwestern. His 243 yards ranked seventh in school history, and he now owns four of the top seven rushing days at TCU. Tomlinson currently is averaging 209.5 rushing yards and 212.0 all-purpose yards per game to rank first nationally in both categories. He also ranks second in scoring with 15.0 points per game.
Scott, a freshman from Nashville, Tenn. (Glencliff HS), recorded 12 solo tackles in a 23-16 win at Rice. He also added three tackles for a loss of six yards and broke up a pass in just his second collegiate start.
Earnest, a junior from Houston (Second Baptist HS), hit all three of his field goal attempts in the victory at Rice. The field goal distances were 32, 25 and 42 yards. He also made both PATs to total 11 points in the game and four of his six kickoffs were touchbacks.
On the defensive side, nominees included sophomore cornerback Jason Goss, TCU.
