TCU Horned Frogs vs

FROGS TRAVEL TO LUBBOCK TO FACE RED RAIDERS
The TCU Horned Frogs (11-20) hit the road again this week as they travel to
Lubbock Tuesday, March 28 to face Texas Tech in a single game. After
compiling a 3-1 record in the last four games, the Frogs will now play the
next six on the road. TCU will resume WAC play this weekend when they travel
to Houston to face the Rice Owls in a three-game series.
103rd SEASON OF TCU BASEBALL
This is the 103rd edition of TCU baseball. The Frogs have an all-time mark
of 1491-1294-25 for a winning percentage of .538. The Frogs are closing in
on the 2800th game in school history and 1500 wins. The March 10th contest
at Hawai`i was the 2800th baseball game in TCU history. The Frogs are nine
victories away from 1500 wins.
HEAD COACH LANCE BROWN
The 2000 Horned Frogs are under the guidance of head coach Lance Brown (TCU,
1967). Brown, TCU's all-time winningest coach, surpassed the 400 win mark in
TCU's 13-9 win over UTA. In his 14th season as the head coach at TCU, Brown
has a record of 409-388. He is assisted by Donnie Watson, Barry Takahashi
and Chris Connally.
TCU-TEXAS TECH SERIES
When TCU and Texas Tech get things started on Tuesday afternoon, it will be
the 114th time the two teams have met between the lines TCU leads in the
overall series, 60-52-1 earlier this year, TCU defeated Tech, 14-4 in Fort
Worth... Lance Brown has a record of 21-26 vs. Texas Tech... last season,
Tech won all three games against TCU, winning 8-3 and 6-5 in Lubbock, and
3-2 in Fort Worth... TCU's last win in Lubbock was an 8-7 decision in the
1998 season... the Frogs have since lost the last two games played in
Lubbock... the Tuesday afternoon game against Tech will be the 12th time the
schools have met since the Southwest Conference folded in 1996... the Frogs
are 4-7 in the last 11 meetings against Tech.
WAC PLAY
The Frogs are in their fourth season in the WAC. TCU has compiled a
conference record of 55-42, finishing second in all three seasons in the
WAC. Last season, TCU ended conference play with a record of 19-10,
advancing to the Championship game of the WAC Tournament. Always tough at
the TCU Diamond, the Frogs have a record of 33-14 in home conference games.
On the road, the Frogs have compiled a record of 22-28.
