Four Frogs Named to Men's Soccer All-WAC Teams

DENVER, Colo. (Nov. 30) - Four TCU men's soccer players were named to the 1999 all-WAC Teams. Sophomore midfielder Nick Baker earned first team honors while sophomore midfielder Josh Rife and junior midfielder Doak VanEnk were voted to the second team. Junior goalkeeper Ian Keate was named second-team goalkeeper.

Baker (Arlington, Texas/Sam Houston HS) started all 19 matches for TCU this season. He tallied three goals and four assists. Baker's 10 points were third on the TCU squad.

Rife (Denton, Texas/Denton HS) led the Frogs in points with 15, goals with six and game-winning goals with two. Rife was named WAC Player of the Week on Oct. 4. Rife was also named Most Exciting Player at the Nike/Snicker SoccerFest Tournament in Indianapolis, Ind., in September.

VanEnk (Denton, Texas/Denton HS) scored the game-winning goal in TCU's 1-0 win over SMU on October 17, leading TCU to its first win over the Mustangs. VanEnk was named to the Soccer America Team of the Week after that match.

Keate (Scottsdale, Ariz./Brophy College Prep) handled goalkeeping duties for the Frogs this season. He allowed 27 goals, made 82 saves and recorded three shutouts. Keate was named to the Nike/Snicker SoccerFest all-Tournament team and was named Defensive MVP at the Wisconsin Soccer Classic.
