Shawn Worthen returned to his alma mater in July 2012 and serves as Sr. Associate Athletics Director, Academic Services.
Worthen is a TCU Hall of Famer from his playing days as a football student-athlete. Following an NFL career, he first came back to TCU as a graduate assistant in 2006.
After moving up from graduate assistant to assistant director, Worthen worked at UTSA as an assistant athletics director from 2010-12. He then came back to TCU as an assistant athletics director in 2012 before being promoted to associate athletics director in 2016.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Worthen was a fourth-round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2001. He also played with the Houston Texans.
