Mike Sinquefield arrived at TCU in July 1995 as athletic equipment manager before working his way administratively through a series of promotions to Senior Deputy Athletics Director, Chief Administrative Officer.
Sinquefield has oversight of TCU’s football program and serves in a secondary role as a sport administrator for men’s basketball. He also oversees TCU Athletics' human resource functions, including contracts, and supports all sport administrators in running the department on a daily basis.
After six years in the equipment room, Sinquefield became TCU’s director of football operations in January 2001. After nearly 13 years in football ops, he was promoted to associate athletics director for administration in July 2013 and then deputy athletics director in July 2018.
Prior to arriving at TCU, Sinquefield served three years as director of athletic equipment at East Carolina.
Sinquefield has served on board of directors for the Athletic Equipment Managers Association and the American Football Coaches Association’s Director of Football Operations Committee. He is currently on advisory committees for the Rose Bowl Game and College Football Playoff.
A native of LaPlace, La., Sinquefield is a 1992 graduate of LSU. He and his wife, Alisa, have three kids: sons Kaleb and Levi, and daughter Sofie. Kaleb is a first-year student at TCU.
