Gretchen Bouton

Gretchen Bouton served as TCU's Deputy Athletics Director for Student Services where she oversees the department's sports medicine, equipment, human performance, nutrition, student-athlete development and mental health areas. She is also the sport supervisor for indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, equestrian and triathlon.
Prior to arriving at TCU in 2014, Bouton was the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance at Arizona from 2003-14. In that role, she monitored all aspects of NCAA, Pac-12, and UA campus bylaws, policies and procedures. She also functioned as Interim Associate Athletics Director of Academic Services and coordinator of the UA Athletics Substance Abuse program while monitoring Title IX and serving as part of the Gender Equity and Emerging Sports Committee.
Bouton also worked as Associate Director of Compliance at Washington State (2000-03) and Mississippi State (1999-2000).
During her time in the Pac-12, Bouton served on various conference committees dedicated to student-athlete well being. Additionally, she is Safe Zone and Ally certified.
Bouton received her undergraduate degree from Truman State, where she was a two-sport student-athlete in volleyball and basketball. She earned a master’s degree from Mississippi State.
Bouton lives in Fort Worth with her husband, Len Woodard, four children and many animals.
